Elegance and minerality from the Leithaberg

The general tenor is that "Leithaberg is something that one must be able to taste, that must stand out" – the flavours and aromas, the minerality and the fruit of the Leitha mountains, the crispness and elegance of the regional types of grapes, as well as the authenticity of the traditional ageing process.

Only wines of a high quality and complexity as well as special single site wines become Leithaberg wines. The Leithaberg winemakers produce elegant and mineral wines with a unique character. The aromas and flavours, the minerality and the fruit, which is characterised by the slate and limestone of the Leitha mountains, are the distinctive features of these single site wines. The winemakers bank on crispness, elegance and minerality and observe the motto "The best from regional types of grapes!" in their work.

The Leithaberg winegrowers listen to nature and trust in the natural ageing processes of wine. Their exercise of restraint in the cellar is intentional. Ageing in small wooden barrels is only effected to mellow tannins or to balance the wine. By no means are these methods intended to mask the character, unadulterated concentration or minerality of the wine.
